Dimer acid use
Dimer acid has similar reactivity with common fatty acids, and can generate metal salts with alkali metals, and can be derived into acyl chloride, amide, ester, diamine, diisocyanate and other products. Dimer acid has a long chain alkane and ring structure. It has good mutual solubility with various solvents, good thermal stability, and does not solidify in the winter. It also has anti-corrosion effect when the vapor pressure is low, and has good lubricity. Therefore, it is widely used as an additive for fuel oil, lubricating oil, rolling oil, hydraulic oil, cutting oil and the like. The ester of this product can be effectively used as a viscosity stabilizer over a wide temperature range; the metal salt of this product is widely used as a thickener for greases. The application of the product in the production of polyamide resin accounted for 80-90% of the total consumption of dimer acid, the rest for oil additives, surfactants, synthetic paints, inks, adhesives, curing agents.
