Gemcitabine use and synthesis
Anti-tumor drugs Gemcitabine is an anti-tumor drug, a novel difluoronucleoside anti-metabolism similar to pyrimidine, which can be used in combination with cisplatin to treat non-small cell lung cancer, as well as advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer.
Gemcitabine is also a myelosuppressive agent, so blood cell counts must be checked during the administration (especially before each intravenous infusion).
