Pivaloyl chloride by chloromethylation derived. Pivaloyl chloride, paraformaldehyde was added to the reaction pot, stirring. Add anhydrous zinc chloride, at 90-100 ℃ for 21h. Then vacuum distillation, collecting 71-75 ° C (6.67kPa) distillate to obtain the finished product.
